SELF CATERING TERMS & CONDITIONS

Deposit:

 

A deposit of 30% of the total rent is due when a booking is made eight weeks or more prior to the arrival date.

If a booking is made less than eight weeks before the start of the rental period, the full rent must be paid at the time of booking.

 

Final Payment:

 

Full payment is due to Julia Blundell eight weeks prior to the start of the rental period.  If we have not received full payment by the due date we have the right to cancel the booking and retain any monies already received.

 

Cancellation:

 

Any notice of cancellation must be made in writing.

If a booking is cancelled we will make every effort to re-let the accommodation and any monies paid will be refunded. However in the event that we are unable to re-let the cottage any monies paid will not be refunded and we may seek full payment of any monies outstanding. We therefore strongly recommend that holiday insurance is taken out.

 

Method of payment:

 

Payment can be made by cheque (made payable to Julia Blundell) and can only be accepted up to two weeks prior to the start of the holiday or direct bank transfer. Overseas guests can make payment by international electronic transfer.

 

Arrival and Departure:

 

The cottage will be available after 4:00 pm on the day of arrival and must be vacated by 10:00 am on the day of departure. We would appreciate it if you could advise us of your expected arrival time.

 

Pets:

 

No pets are allowed.

 

Smoking policy:

 

All rooms are non smoking. Candles and incense burners are also not permitted due to fire risk.

 

Guests Obligations:

 

A maximum of two people may stay in the cottage. The guest has the right to occupy Apple Loft Cottage for a holiday only.

No-one other than those named on the booking form may sleep at the property.

The accommodation is to be left clean and tidy at the end of the holiday. The guest agrees to pay for an losses or damage to the property. Breakages or damage should be reported as soon as possible to the owners.

Guest must allow the owners reasonable access to the property.

Guest must not cause an annoyance or become a nuisance to occupants of the adjoinning property.

 

Liability:

 

The owners cannot be held responsible for loss or damage to the visitors' belongings or for any injury sustained during their stay, except where such loss or damage is due to our negligence. If we are negligent our liability to you will be limited to the loss or damage which was a forseeable result of such negligence. The owners do not accept any liability for any damage, loss or injury to any member of your party or any vehicles or possessions, unless proven to be caused by a negligent act by ourselves or our employees or contractors whilst acting in the course of employment.

 

Any damage incurred by guests will be charged in full.

 

Bed Linen:

 

Bed linen and towels are provided by the owner and will be replaced on a weekly basis.

 

Breach of Contract:

 

If there is a breach of any of these conditions by the guest, the owners reserve the right to re-enter the property and terminate the holiday.
